PSCE Winter Conference 2023 Features on 'Management of Large-Scale Events for Public Safety'
The 2023 PSCE Winter Conference will take place this year in The Hague (The Netherlands) from 5th to 6th December.
Public Safety Communication Europe (PSCE) is an organisation aiming at improving provision of public safety services and the safety of the citizens during crisis and emergency situations. PSCE is a forum where researchers, industry, and practitioners have the opportunity to network and learn about technologies used for public safety and influence policy makers at European level. PSCE has more than a decade of experience in bringing together key stakeholders in the field of public safety and security, particularly with its annual conferences held twice a year.
The 2023 PSCE Winter Conference will take place this year in The Hague (The Netherlands) from 5th to 6th December. The event is hosted by the Dutch Police and will look at the topic of ‘’Managing Large- Scale events for public Safety’’, with an outlook on the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
The audience can expect to hear from some key high-level profiles from France such as representatives from the Ministry of Interior, SNCF, and the Red Cross. Other European countries will also share their experience in the management of large-scale events that pose major challenges. From Europe, participants will also have the opportunity to learn more on the advancement of BroadEU.Net in supporting the establishment of a European Critical Communication System. The event will also include a dedicated collaborative session on Mission Critical Applications which will continue the conversations started in Riga in the framework of the 5G Techritory earlier in October this year. The co-creation event will be an opportunity to collect inputs on how to develop and maintain a sustainable ecosystem for interoperable pan-European mission critical communications.
Guests from outside across transatlantic borders will also be intervening: the US Cybersecurity Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and FirstNet mission will be present to provide the American perspective on the organisation and management of large-scale events and share key lessons learnt from the past. The Brazilian Police will also take the floor to look back at the past and take the audience on a journey on the use of critical communication during the Olympic Games and World Cup in Brazil.
An exhibition area will also be set-up during the Conference though the full two-days to allow participants to walk through booths and stands to discover new solutions and technologies currently developed by projects and industries in the field of public safety and security.
The conference this Winter promises to bring about interesting conversations and exchanges on the topics of Resilient Communication, Emergency Management and Security in large-scale events. Doors are open to any actor, stakeholder and people from the general public interested to learn more about the world of crisis management, public safety communications, management of large-scale events and the protection of public spaces.
Registration to the event are still open. Visit the PSCE Conference page to learn more how to attend or contact the team directly at: secretariat@psc-europe.eu
