Four New Metro Lines Start Service with Hytera Technologies
Four new Chinese metro companies have adopted Hytera’s advanced TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) systems to facilitate safe and efficient metro operation.
Hytera Communications (SZSE: 002583), a leading global provider of professional communication technologies and solutions, has successfully handed over Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) systems to the newest metro lines in China, four of which began operation in December 2023. The metro companies adopt Hytera’s advanced TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) systems to facilitate safe and efficient metro operation, and the metro police rely on PDT (Professional Digital Trunking) to ensure public safety at the stations along the lines.
In December 2023, four metro lines empowered by Hytera systems officially began to operate and became part of the local mass transit networks. The extension of Hefei Metro Line 2 in Anhui Province officially began operation on December 26; Phase II of Shenzhen Metro Line 8 in Guangdong Province and Phase I of Nantong Metro Line 1 in Jiangsu Province on December 27; Phase I of Metro Line 11 in Tianjin on December 28.
Hytera had designed and delivered 800MHz TETRA systems for three metro lines. The TETRA systems not only help metro companies achieve peak efficiency in a fast-paced environment but also enable the staff to act quickly in case of an emergency. Stations along two metro lines were deployed with Hytera’s 350MHz PDT systems, which interconnect with the citywide PDT systems for the police departments.
