Testing Technologies is part of the TETRA community since 2009. Its TTworkbench product line has been selected by the TCCA (former TETRA Association) as the test platform to automate the Interoperability (IOP) testing for its IOP certification program. As a result the PEI scripting engine has been developed for and made available to the TCCA members. With the PEI scripting engine it is possible to automate testing at the PEI interface and at the same time capture and analyse the air interface signalling for TETRA Interoperability Profile testing. The official TCCA approved test scripts are being developed and maintained under the aegis of the TCCA’s Technical Forum.

Rohill, as one of the leading manufacturers of TETRA infrastructure solutions, has recognised the potential of TTworkbench. As a joint effort with Testing Technologies, the TTworkbench platform for automated testing will be further enhanced by adding automatic cell-?reselection capabilities, as well as end-?to-?end testing of audio continuity through TETRA mobiles and dispatchers. Part of the solutions will also be made available for other TETRA equipment manufacturers as TTworkbench add-ons.

Bert Bouwers, CTO of Rohill says “The extended TTworkbench capabilities allow Rohill to perform continuous functional IOP and stress testing of its TetraNode infrastructure solution, further improving on quality and time-to-market for new or enhanced functionalities.”
