Operator Entropia Digital accredits 15,000 Tetra radios via Social Media.
Entropia Digital is currently rolling out 189 TETRA sites in the Netherlands, and 70 sites in the province of Flanders, Belgium.
Entropia Digital, operator of the Entropia TETRA network in The Netherlands and Belgium announced that they will accredit 15,000 TETRA radios. In a Tweet last weekend, they asked manufacturers such as Hytera, Motorola, Sepura and Cassidian, and other parties to subscribe for the accreditation process.
It is a daring message that was published on the Twitter account of Entropia Digital last night: "Entropia accreditation phase for 15,000 Tetra radios in progress. @Hytera @Motorola @Sepura @Cassidian. Other potential Candidates please contact sales@entropia.eu".
Entropia Digital CEO Philip Vercruysse realises very well that his company throws a big stone in the pond of the digital radio market.
Vercruysse: "Entropia Digital is working on a new type of service. With our network, we provide tailored communication services without the customer to worry about infrastructure and radios. That is why we need good quality radios. Many good radios. We simply ask the market who will be able to provide us these radios." Vercruysse does not want to communicate more at this point in time. "Except the fact that, in this way, we turn the market up side down, however keeping in mind the requirements of our customers; this is unburdening is communications, locally or wide area and against the most favourable price!”
So, why has Vercruysse chosen Twitter as a communication tool? "Why not? We are in the telecommunications market and we are 24/7 in contact with our customers. Everyone in this sector deals with communication processes. Maybe it's better the other way and to ask the question: Why do we still use letters to keep people informed?"
"Regarding the Entropia network in Belgium and The Netherlands, we have already made a selection with regards to digital infrastructure. Now, we will choose the manufacturer and supplier of TETRA radios."
"Entropia currently is rolling out 189 sites in the Netherlands, and 70 sites in the province of Flanders, Belgium."
