TETRA and Critical Communications Association continues to focus on TETRA and Public Safety Broadband
The Association released a brief for an impartial short study to look at how LTE, other broadband technologies and TETRA will develop and interoperate from 2018 to 2025.
The TCCA (TETRA and Critical Communications Association) announced yesterday to its members that it looks to play a significant role in the evolution of current technologies, particularly TETRA towards broadband for critical communications. The creation of the CCBG working group within the TCCA is a key part of that.
The Association publishes a number of related documents and recently published a document (attached) titled “TETRA and LTE working together”. It now looks to build upon this. Whilst the Association produces a number of similar papers, and despite its limited budget, it is felt important to seek an impartial view point.
The TCCA also released a brief for for an impartial short study to look at how LTE, other broadband technologies and TETRA will develop and interoperate from 2018 to 2025. The study will be credited to the authors, provided to Members, published on the TCCA website and promoted elsewhere.
To go forward, the TCCA invited its members to respond expressing thier interest in undertaking such a study before the 8th August 2014.
