First Salus Project Review Successfully Held
The SALUS PPDR communication platform prototype is now able to interface LTE with legacy PMR systems, establishing, for example, group calls between LTE and TETRA.
SALUS organized its first review meeting which successfully took place on 26 of March 2015 at Alcatel-Lucent premises in Paris (Nozay).
This was also the occasion to validate the first SALUS PPDR communication platform prototype, which reflects the consortium ongoing efforts towards the implementation of the next generation PPDR communication system.
At its current stage the prototype is able to interface LTE with legacy PMR systems, establishing, for example, group calls between LTE and TETRA. It is also capable of significantly improving situation awareness by enabling the reception and transmission of broadband video to a group of LTE enabled PPDR terminals as well as to support new PPDR applications such as force tracking services with individual vital signs monitoring and message brokering service.
The final prototype, which will also enable interoperability with TETRAPOL and provide a full set of strong Security measures, is to be shown on June 2016.
More information on this topic and how you can apply to be a part of it will be later announced.
