German TETRA Operator BDBOS Celebrates 10 Years
On Monday, April 24th, the Federal Agency for the Digital Radio of Authorities and Organizations with Security Tasks (BDBOS) celebrated its tenth anniversary with more than 600 guests.
At a festive event in the Red Town Hall in the city of Berlin, BDBOS employees met with their partners from the federal and state governments as well as guests from politics and business.
In his speech, Thomas de Maizière, Minister of the Interior, paid tribute to the achievements of the Bundesanstalt: "For the security and rescue workers in Germany, digital radio is a great achievement. With it, they have their own, nationwide, secure and highly available means of communication for their challenging service - whether as a police officer, firefighter or first aid in the rescue service, "said Federal Minister of the Interior de Maizière.
State Minister of the Interior, Markus Ulbig from Saxony, congratulated the BDBOS organization as chair of the interior ministerial conference. The chairman of the board of directors of BDBOS, Secretary of State at the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Dr. Emily Haber, gave a warm greeting and particularly appreciated the unique structures created for cooperation between the Federal Government, the Länder and the BDBOS: "The digital radio BOS shows how collaboration can be done successfully.
The Federal Police Orchestra supported the celebration in its small game setting with a musical intermediate program. Thereafter, guests were informed about the technology of the digital radio BOS on the exhibition area and used the opportunity to exchange ideas across the organization.
