Leading Australian radio and converged communications event RadioComms Connects changes into Comms Connect
At the core of the conference and exhibition is still radio communications, its uses, applications and benefits
This year sees Australia's leading radio and converged communications event, RadioComms Connect, return as Comms Connect -- a subtle yet important shift.
At the core of the conference and exhibition is still radio communications, its uses, applications and benefits, but with the convergence of technologies being seen - from IP to mobile broadband and more, the shift is a reflection that the event is no longer just about two-way radio, but a whole range of technologies and solutions - all of which can be found on the show floor and learned about during the conference and workshops.
All-new training workshops
This year sees a big increase in the number and scope of training workshops offered in response to their limited introduction in 2012. Three hours in length, attendees will be exposed to greater detail from these classroom-style sessions. Topics covered will be:
- Infrastructure and towers
- Advanced radio over IP
- In-building distributed antennae systems (DAS)
- TETRA network and design
- Wireless broadband for critical communications
- Implementing a digital radio system
A snapshot of 2012
A 2400 m2 exhibition hall, with 90 exhibitors and almost 1000 attending delegates, speakers and exhibitors from 16 countries, helped shape the 2012 conference and exhibition.
