Avtec, a leading provider of Voice over IP (VoIP) dispatch console systems, is announcing compatibility for its Scout true VoIP dispatch console system with the forthcoming MOTOTRBO Capacity Max trunked radio solution.

The upcoming release of Scout 4.3 will include support for Capacity Max, and will provide a full-featured wireline interface. Scout supports the enhanced features of Capacity Max and other MOTOTRBO series systems.

Capacity Max delivers to radio customers a scalable, highly secure trunked radio solution that enables instant and reliable voice and data communications -- as well as seamless coordination across operations of any scale.

"We are pleased to announce support for the latest MOTOTRBO trunked radio solution, and, in particular, to offer a flexible and interoperable dispatch console solution that allows communications centers to choose the types of capabilities -- including logging recorders, telephony, AVL, video and aux I/O, equipment -- that are right for their specific application," said Michael Ridge, Avtec's director of strategic alliances.

Testing of Scout's capabilities for MOTOTRBO™ Capacity Max will be undertaken jointly by Avtec and Motorola, through the latter's Sold and Supported program. This collaboration means that each software release is put through rigorous verification testing to ensure quality.

As the premier business-critical solution for MOTOTRBO in North America, Avtec's Scout is deployed throughout transportation, utility, and public service enterprises, as well as in business applications such as education, petrochemical, hospitality, and medical centers, among others. The open-standards Scout console links seamlessly, via direct IP interface, with all conventional and multi-site trunked MOTOTRBO radio infrastructure components -- including legacy offerings like MOTOTRBO Connect Plus, Linked Capacity Plus, Capacity Plus, and IP Site Connect.
