Fine Communications are now one of only about 50 Hytera Family Dealers in the United States.

The Dailytimes anounced that Alcoa-based Fine Communications (USA) is now an Authorized Family Dealer for Hytera two-way radios. Fine Communications has been a Hytera dealer since 2007. They are now one of only about 50 Hytera Family Dealers in the United States. Hytera Family Dealers are similar to what other companies call their premium dealers.

“We’re going to have a lot of advantages other companies won’t have,” owner Charles Fine said. “We can bring value to customers that other people won’t be able to.”

Michael Garrett, Southeastern regional sales director for Hytera, said the China-based company is the world’s second-largest PMR (professional mobile radio) company in the world, behind Motorola. Hytera’s concentration is in education. Their radios are used by universities, schools systems and bus systems. Garrett emphasized that two-way radios are a useful tool in many industries.

Dave Styles, sales and marketing director for Fine Communications, said they have sold radios to people in entertainment, emergency services, utility districts, office complexes, hotels and even some area churches. Their largest customer is DENSO, which has 500 Hytera radios. Other customers include Alcoa City Schools, some Maryville City Schools buildings, the city of Louisville and the Townsend Volunteer Fire Department.
