Motorola Solutions Presents Complete Mission Critical Communications Ecosystem for Law Enforcement at the European Police Congress
Event features next-generation technology including AI-powered video and analytics, body-worn cameras, TETRA and LTE communications as well as network modernisation solutions.
Motorola Solutions will present its future-leading law enforcement expertise at the 22nd European Police Congress in Berlin, Germany, including its next-generation digital evidence and mission-critical communications ecosystem, Avigilon video and AI-powered analytics, body-worn cameras, integrated TETRA and LTE technology as well as its trusted network modernisation solutions.
“Public safety is undergoing a digital transformation. Law enforcement agencies are using data to go beyond reacting and responding”, said Axel Kukuk, country manager Germany at Motorola Solutions. “By turning data into intelligence, public safety organisations can advance the lifeline of their first responders and ultimately help to keep cities and communities safer.”
ADVANCED VIDEO AND AI-POWERED ANALYTICS
At European Police Congress 2019, Motorola Solutions will present its next-generation video and analytics solutions, including Avigilon Appearance Search™ technology and Avigilon Unusual Motion Detection (UMD) technology. Appearance Search™ technology uses a deep learning AI search engine to sort through hours of video with ease to quickly locate a specific person or vehicle of interest. Operators can initiate a search for a person by selecting certain specific physical descriptions, including clothing colour or gender. UMD is an advanced AI technology that brings a new level of automation to surveillance. Without any predefined rules or setup, the technology is able to continuously learn what typical activity in a scene looks like, and then detect and flag unusual motion. At European Police Congress 2019, Motorola Solutions will showcase how these future-leading technologies can be used in real-life scenarios.
BODY-WORN CAMERAS AND BROADBAND DEVICES
The Motorola Solutions portfolio also includes body-worn police cameras, which help to streamline evidence collection and enhance officer safety on duty. These devices provide frontline teams with an intuitive user interface for combined voice communications as well as video and still image capture. Critical video evidence can securely be uploaded to Motorola Solutions’ CommandCentral Vault digital evidence management solution for storing, analysing and sharing. For mission-critical communications and increased situational awareness, Motorola Solutions offers law enforcement agencies its LEX L11 Mission-Critical LTE Device, which enables first responders to access secure apps over broadband networks. The Motorola Solutions LTE device also offers a broad range of innovative features including a rugged, easy-to-operate design, best-in-class audio quality and performance as well as an advanced end-to-end secure mobile platform.
NETWORK MODERNISATION FOR FUTURE REQUIREMENTS
Future-ready technologies like Motorola Solutions’ DIMETRA X Core and DIMETRA Express TETRA systems enable public safety organisations and commercial customers to make the most of their existing TETRA network today, while preparing for additional future capabilities in mobile broadband. For future-leading interconnectivity and collaboration, Motorola Solutions offers its WAVE broadband push-to-talk application, which forms part of its command centre software suite. The WAVE platform connects disparate networks, enabling public safety and commercial users to communicate between smartphones, radios, computers and landlines.
