The EEG Energie- Einkaufs- und Service GmbH has concluded a radio service framework agreement with 450connect. As one of the leading providers of energy services for municipal utilities, EEG is thus giving more than 80 affiliated companies the opportunity to use the 450MHz radio network for the secure operation of their critical infrastructures.

The use cases include secure voice communications in the event of a crisis, the digitization of distribution grids or the connection of smart meter gateways. In the framework agreement, EEG bundles the needs of its customers, who can thus benefit from the possibilities of 450 MHz radio technology and use it to ensure a resilient, future-proof energy supply.
