Consort Digital to Deliver Mission Critical Communication Solution for the BMRCL Phase II Reach 5” project
Consort Digital has been awarded a contract for deploying its MCX ONE mission critical communication solution for the “Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) – Phase II Reach 5” project.
The city of Bangalore, India, has always been confronted with an increase in road congestion. Therefore, BMRCL, a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Karnataka, has planned the BMRCL Phase II Reach 5 project.
The Reach 5 line comprises three packages – Bommasandra to Beratena Agrahara, Beratena Agrahara to Bommanahalli, and Bommanahalli to RV Road station with a total length of 18.5 km. Once operational, the yellow line of the Bangalore Metro, popularly known as the Namma Metro, will connect Phase II RV Road – Electronic City – Bommasandra and be fully elevated with a total of 16 stations including 5 Depots. RV Road being the terminal station will provide the interchange for the Green line. Namma Metro will contribute to reducing traffic congestion, fewer road accidents, and less pollution in the city of Bangalore.
CONSORT MCX ONE Dispatch Center, MCX ONE Core Application Server, Train Radio Systems, and Rail Integration Server shall be supplied as part of the overall radio system. The products will integrate with the DAMM TetraFlex base stations and Sepura end user devices will collectively provide a highly reliable, modern, and scalable communication solution for BMRCL – Reach 5.
