EDX Studies Effect of Radio Coverage on Population
the company releases 2010 Census Data for its SignalPro RF Planning (TETRA & other mob. radio systems) and design suite
The 2010 Census data for the EDX SignalPro family of products is now available for studying the effects of radio coverage on population.
SignalPro is a popular tool ideal for designing any wireless RF system, including broadband wireless, WiMAX, LTE, Cellular, TETRA, mesh and many other mobile radio systems.
This announcement was made by the developer of RF planning tools, EDX Wireless, which notes that this data set contains population and housing unit data for all of the U.S., including Puerto Rico.
According to a release, Census data is stored at the Census Block level and this provides a high level of geographic resolution.
EDX claims that the Census Data Set is fully compatible with all EDX products and its network design tools are popular engineering software products used for designing wireless communications networks, including wireless broadband, WiMAX, LTE, Wi-Fi, Public Safety, and other mobile wireless systems.
The company was in the news earlier this year for announcing EDX SignalPro v7.4, the latest release of its suite of wireless network design and RF engineering tools featuring new advances, capabilities and additional features. The latest EDX SignalPro includes revised and updated route studies with a choice of over 30 different studies, according to the company’s sources.
