Designed specifically for emergency response organisations, the TETRA Messenger is a secure, resilient messenger and alerting solution, which provides messaging on Airwave’s secure TETRA Network.

Airwave, the leading provider of critical voice and data communications to public service organisations in Great Britain, has been shortlisted in the category for ‘Most Innovative Product’ at the fourth Emergency Planning Society (EPS) Resilience Awards held this week.

Sponsored by the EPS, the ‘Most Innovative Product of the Year’ award, acknowledges Airwave’s TETRA Messenger - the world’s first TETRA two-way messaging device developed to meet the needs of Great Britain’s first responders.

“We are delighted that the TETRA Messenger has been shortlisted, as it recognises the commitment we have made to launch innovative products that not only fill a gap in the market, but more importantly, support our customers,” says John Lewis, Chief Operating Officer, Airwave.

Designed specifically for emergency response organisations, the TETRA Messenger is a secure, resilient messenger and alerting solution, which provides messaging on Airwave’s secure TETRA Network. In addition, the device helps to improve emergency response outcome and ensures that customers are able to meet their ‘duty of care’ responsibilities.

This is the second time that the TETRA Messenger has been recognised for its originality and development in this specified area. Earlier this year, it was a finalist in the ‘Best TETRA Innovation’ category at the International TETRA Awards
