Sepura is delighted to announce it has won the International Trade Award at the Business Weekly Awards for the second year in a row - the third Business Weekly Award in Sepura’s history.
The presentation was made by the Chancellor of Cambridge University, Lord Sainsbury, at a gala ceremony at Queens’ College, Cambridge, where candidates were addressed by the director of the Judge Business School, Professor Christoph Loch.
Sepura has already had a successful year, having been awarded Turnaround of the Year at the PLC Awards earlier this month, and shortlisted for a host of prestigious awards, including the International TETRA Awards.
“To win this award is, in itself, a major achievement, but to win for a second consecutive year is remarkable,” said CEO Gordon Watling.
“2012 was another outstanding year for Sepura: we launched the STP8X; became a provider of full end-to-end critical communications solutions, thanks to the acquisition of 3T Communications; and won a ground-breaking contract to supply radios for North America’s first operational TETRA network.
“As I’ve said many times before, we owe our success to our employees and partners worldwide whose hard-work, dedication and relentless support make these achievements possible.”
Sepura’s success comes in the same week that HM Revenue & Customs released trade figures showing that exports from the East of England to non-EU countries are growing faster than in any other UK region.
