SAIT Zenitel to deliver TETRA network to BASF
Recently SAIT Zenitel delivered a wireless network to the European Council, British Petroleum Chembel in the city of Geel and to European Container Terminals in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Integrator SAIT Zenitel has won the contract to supply a TETRA radio communications network chemical giant BASF in Antwerp. Thousand employees will receive a digital TETRA radio for their critical communications.
BASF wanted to replace the current analogue radio network by a digital solution based on Tetra (Terrestrial Trunked Radio). There will be placed a dozen MTS4 antennas.
According to the planning, the network needs to be operation by the end of the year.
Integrator SAIT Zenitel will provide the infrastructure, training and support. It is a three-year contract, worth of for nearly 1 million Euro. SAIT-Zenitel received competition from other Motorola suppliers such as Flash Services and AEG.

Last year the turnover of the Integrator from Zellik was 33 million euros, of which 23 million in Belgium. CEO Alain Van den Broeck is counting this year on a double-digit growth.
