MAX Dispatch Delivers Fully Functional, Affordable Mobile Operations
The system is now fully operational on a tablet PC or laptop. This gives public-safety agencies and communication control centers the freedom to respond quickly and deliver remote, temporary, backup or mobile dispatching quickly, securely, and affordably
Zetron, a leading provider of mission-critical communications solutions worldwide, announced that its MAX Dispatch system now delivers on a tablet PC or laptop the full functionality and innovative features it provides at operator positions in the control room. This gives customers the flexibility to deploy temporary, backup or mobile dispatch operations quickly, securely and affordably, when the need arises.
As a result, MAX Dispatch now supports a number of scenarios that are common to many command-and-control centers and public safety agencies.
For example, if a communication center must be evacuated due to a storm, flood or other natural disaster, dispatch operations can quickly be transferred to a backup center that is utilizing MAX Dispatch on tablet PCs or laptops. That same center can be ready and waiting to provide additional dispatching support over tablet PCs or laptops if a large-scale event overwhelms the main center’s dispatch operations. And inside the communication center, MAX Dispatch operating on a tablet PC or laptop allows a supervisor to keep in touch with dispatch operations while moving throughout the building.
“We’ve had customers bring us many situations where they would benefit from having operators untethered from their desks,” said Zetron V.P. of Product Management Kathy Broadwell. “This might involve planning for a dispatcher to be on site at an air show or NASCAR event so they can dispatch help immediately if there’s an accident. Or they might want the flexibility to allow personnel to do other tasks in the building while still handling their dispatch duties. Zetron’s MAX Dispatch remote capability not only gives customers the freedom to respond to these types of situations much more quickly and fluidly, but it makes a whole new range of mobile dispatch operations possible and affordable.”
