The Bavarian Red Cross - Bayerisches Rotes Kreuz - (BRK) has selected Sepura TETRA radios for all rescue services organisations in the Bavarian federal state. This prestigious contract was won by Selectric GmbH, Sepura’s sole partner in Germany.

The agreement includes the provision of over 15,000 Sepura TETRA radio terminals and vehicle installations of Sepura SRG3900 mobile radios.

Johann Peter Hausl, Head of EMT at BRK commented “Rescue services operators need reliable communications in order to carry out their often dangerous operations where lives can be at stake. Sepura’s product offering more than fulfils our users’ specific communications needs: in particular the hand-portables' outstanding audio quality enables clear communication at all times as it can filter out any background noise and the fast call set up time and the ease with which talk groups can be created and modified enables smooth and efficient operations".

Hooman Safaie, Senior Business Development Manager for Sepura concluded “We are extremely proud to have been selected by the BRK. We listened to their requirements and worked closely with Selectric to deliver a compelling proposal that will allow the BRK to take immediate advantage of Sepura’s radio products and make a real difference to their operations and the community that they serve”.

Hendrik Pieper, General Manager of Selectric commented “I am confident that by selecting Sepura radios BRK have made the best choice for their digital communications. Sepura is an established and highly respected brand in the German public safety arena for its superior technology and comprehensive product offering. Thousands of new public safety users in Bavaria will be happy in the knowledge that they can work more effectively, and the lives that they save will be the best endorsement any organisation could wish for”.

Over the past decade Sepura and long-standing partner Selectric have become established as clear market leaders in the German public safety market.
