ENEA to spend 25 Million Euro for TETRA project
According to publication; "The Republic", ENEA is the next after Tauron and Energa-Distribution Operator energy company, to implement a digital TETRA communication system.
Dalida Gepfert, Vice President of Finance at ENEA, has revealed this in an interview with journalists of 'Rzeczpospolita'. The company filed a PIR (Polish Investment and Development) proposals for the financing of the implementation of smart meters and a draft dispatch communication system using TETRA.
The budget is estimated at around 100 million zł (about 25 million Euro), and the cost of implementing the system counters - 1 billion zł. These projects are still in the conceptual stage, and the final decision has not yet been taken - says Slawomir Krenczyk, a spokesman for the company.
The Management Board of the Polish Society of Transmission and Distribution of Electricity (PTPiREE), took a resolution recommending a TETRA radiocommunications as the best option for the creation of a communication system for power dispatching.
Currently and accoding to "The Republic", the only company expressing interest in the project proved to be Tauron Distribution company (Part of the Tauron Group of companies), which has already implemented their own TETRA system. Currently, the Energa-Operator prepares for holding a tender for TETRA communication system.
