Cambridge Sepura team raise £2k after completing 3 Peaks challenge
Twenty members of staff from Sepura in Cambridge, completed the challenge to raise money for East Anglia Children’s Hospices EACH
According to Cambridge News, Nine people tackled all three of the highest peaks in Scotland, Wales and England, and all 20 completed one climb. They have so far raised £2,275.
Mark Sutton, one of the organisers of the team event, said: “It was a fantastic team effort with 20 walkers and three drivers who made it all possible. It was an amazing experience.
“Everyone made it up at least one peak and nine people did all three within 24 hours. Despite Ben Nevis’ unfriendly weather, sleep deprivation and aching limbs, we all really enjoyed taking part in the challenge".
"We chose EACH because what they do strikes a deep chord with all of us, they are an amazing local charity that we know, respect and support and we’re all very grateful to all our colleagues, friends and families for their generous donations.”
The charity supports children, young people and their families coping with life-threatening conditions.
