TPL Systèmes acquires DETRACOM
TPL Systèmes announced that recently it has signed an agreement to acquire Detracom. The acquisition aims to create synergies between the two companies’ products ranges, and R&D.
The acquisition gives TPL Systèmes the opportunity to offer global radio-communication solutions based on the compatibility of its embedded equipment with the powerful and innovative Detracom eDMR digital technology. This technology enables simultaneous voice and data communication in a narrow band (12.5 KHz channel spacing) and which can be deployed on existing analog networks, in VHF narrow bands (40 and 80 MHz).
This merger will strengthen TPL Systèmes’ position as a leading provider of global radio-communication solutions and will generate significant value by pushing further product innovation and deeper engagement with customers and partners.
in May 2014 TPL introduced the Birdy TETRA pager with success at the Critical communications World in Singapore. The TETRA pager has already been approved and validated by several European and Middle Eastern Operators.
