DNK reaches important milestone for cross-border TETRA communication
Earlier this month DNK sent a formal request to the suppliers of radio terminals for use in Nødnett.
The request is for a software upgrade that enables radio terminals to communicate with users in other emergency networks and to migrate to a foreign emergency network (roaming). The specification developed in collaboration with MSB in Sweden is unique of its kind.
This is the first time anyone asks to develop software for radio terminals that can make use of the gateway between Rakel and Nødnett to enable cross-border communication and cooperation (based on the TETRA ISI standard).
