Stadtwerke Münster relies on Hytera again

Source: MCCResources

Stadtwerke Münster is expanding its TETRA system and is again relying on the mobile radio experts from Bad Münder.

The effective long-term collaboration between Hytera Mobilfunk and the public utilities in Münster has existed since 2004. On the expansion of the existing TETRA radio system the energy utility from Münster is relying on Hytera as its competent partner for professional mobile radio.

During this process Stadtwerke Münster is investing in state-of-the-art radio coverage and is a true pioneer with the installation of the DIB-R5 compact base stations. This will be the first time a complete mobile radio system based on DIB-R5 is used in Germany. Also two IP Node (IPN) switching nodes and a network management system (NMS), with which the infrastructure and various services for the TETRA radio system (ACCESSNET-T-IP) can be monitored and administered, will be supplied to the public utilities.

Along with this highlight, the existing base stations of type DIB-500 R.4.0 will continue to be used and upgraded to IP-based switching.

Michael Fertig, responsible Regional Director for the system business in Germany at Hytera Mobilfunk GmbH: "I am very pleased about the new order and the continued collaboration. Hytera Mobilfunk GmbH is the right partner to address the stringent requirements of Stadtwerke Münster."
