Chiltern Transport Consortium (CTC) has selected ARTEMIS,the market leading telematics solution.

The consortium provides an innovative cross-border shared service which attends to the fleet requirements of Bedfordshire Police, Civil Nuclear Constabulary, Hertfordshire Constabulary and Thames Valley Police.

ARTEMIS will be fitted across the Thames Valley, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Hampshire fleets. This builds on current ARTEMIS roll outs at Northamptonshire Police, Nottinghamshire Police and Avon & Somerset Constabulary, cementing the position of ARTEMIS in the police market.

ARTEMIS is a total telematics solution designed in collaboration with the police for the police. The comprehensive reporting delivers detailed information not just on resource location but also on how the vehicle is driven, the identity of the driver and the condition of the vehicle. It also acts as an incident data recorder, complemented by a sophisticated collision data analysis software package.
Sam Sloan, Head of Chiltern Transport Consortium commenting on the rollout said: “having looked at other solutions in the market; ARTEMIS is comprehensive as a package and therefore better meets the requirements of senior police stakeholders.

Steve Denison, Managing Director of APD commented: “Our relationship with CTC has ensured we continue to develop a solution with the police, for the police. This consultative approach enables us to offer the comprehensive functionality required to deliver real business benefits from cashable savings to culture change. As forces seek to deliver more for their communities on reduced budgets, ARTEMIS enables them to improve not just fleet operations but across the business as a whole”.
