National Park in Montenegro starts using TETRA Radio Communications to protect nature

After the Police administration and a number of municipal services, the „Skadarsko jezero“ national Park will start using the TETRA radio system to Reduce Crime.

The radio network was presented by representatives of Wireless Montenegro

The funds for equipment with a total value of 6,170 euros were provided through the project "Wetland Management and Conservation Dalmatian Pelican in the Mediterranean Basin", which is  funded by the MAVA Foundation in Switzerland.

Director of the "Skadar Lake" National Park, Goran Škatarić, thanked the foundation and said: "TETRA is something that will help us greatly, because we will be linked primarily with the Department of border security maritime police, and other institutions that use this advanced system, to provide greater mobility. It is expected that the new radio communications system will prevent a large number of irregularities and crimes in this area."

After the presentation, the supplier of the equipment organized the necessary training for successful use of the radio system for 14 employees of the National Park.
