Peter Clemons pleads for a Global Critical Alliance with a TETRA heart and a 5G brain

In a new Blog series, Peter Clemons, founder of Quixoticity describes that he believes that we urgently need a Global Critical Alliance. An Alliance with a TETRA heart and a 5G brain.

According to Clemons, as we move from a safe, secure, digital narrowband critical communications world of instant voice and limited data towards a future 5G world driven by highly automated, highly intelligent devices, vehicles and processes taking care of Smart Cities via the Internet of Everything, we find ourselves in limbo in a hybrid, sometimes confusing, often frustrating 2G/3G/4G world.

We have a good idea where we have come from and what the fundamental requirements are for our first responders and other critical sectors of our society and economy. We can also imagine how we might be heading towards a fundamentally “better” society, but we are still uncertain of the precise path to follow.

Clemons believes that our industry requires strong leadership, a clear sense of purpose, a clear message to frustrated end-users and a global framework upon which to deliver future critical communications solutions at the local level. Therefore he believes that we urgently need a Global Critical Alliance with a TETRA heart and a 5G brain.

This new Blog series will explore the main issues facing us during 2016 and hopefully provide robust, durable solutions to last a generation.
