Entropia to obtain ISO-27001/2 Certification to Enhance Network Security

Source: MCCResources

After obtaining ISO-9001 certification in 2016, Entropia Critical Concepts is now focusing on the ISO-27001/2-certification. This is the highest certification in data security.

In order to meet the standards of this security certification, the mobile network in the Netherlands must be replaced inits entirety. In view of the fact that the previous supplier of the Dutch contractual TETRA network (Motorola Solutions) did not satisfy the functional (security) requirements posed by Entropia, this is an (obligatory) choice.

On the new network, each client is to receive services as if it were its own VPN network. To meet the security requirements, each customer will receive a closed range of numbers that are completely isolated from other users. Recently the Dutch C2000 Public Safety TETRA network has also chosen to implement this new technology from Hytera.

At present, security on the mobile network is being offered as an option. Beginning in 2017, Entropia will activate the new network and start converting all of its users. Security is a mandatory "option" that will be offered with the standard service. Customers can no longer choose whether they want to encrypt the data or not.
