Energinet and Celab Finalize TETRA Radio Framework Agreement
Energinet and Celab Communications Danmark A/S have entered into a framework agreement for the delivery and maintenance of radio communications equipment for the TETRA communications system for emergency preparedness (SINE) in Denmark.
The overall goal of the implementation of SINE within the energy network is to reduce risks and vulnerabilities throughout the day. All service personnel must be able to easily, quickly and safely contact each other through Energinet's gas and electricity control room.
Preparedness Coordinator at Energinet, Jesper Tholstrup says "In our risk and vulnerability analysis, we identified a vulnerability in case of interruption in the public mobile phone network. When implementing SINE, this vulnerability will be reduced to an absolute minimum".
The delivery from Celab Communications is a total solution with a large number of Motorola TETRA terminals, including ATEX devices for use in explosive environments, positioning and voice recording solutions as well as emergency control room solutions. The agreement includes 24/7/365 support and service as well as education.
