Airbus creates network of the future in the Italian Alps
Airbus, provider of the new mission-critical network in South Tyrol, Italy, and its local partner Avionic Service will present tailored Tetra devices for regional end users at the “Civil Protect 2018” trade fair in Bolzano.
At the Airbus/Avionic booth (D24/014), firefighters, paramedics and mountain rescuer personnel will be informed about Tetra radios and how they can use them in the best way within the regional network of the autonomous region of Bolzano, South Tyrol.
“Users in South Tyrol, who do their best every day to rescue people and keep the region secure, are invited to take a look at Airbus devices in Bolzano. They should decide for themselves which radio they could work the best with in the regional Tetra network”, says Markus Kolland, Head of Sales & Program Delivery for Northern, Central & Eastern Europe for Secure Land Communications at Airbus.
During the exhibition in Bolzano, Airbus and its partner Avionic Service will showcase Tetra devices which fit the new network perfectly, i.e. the THR9i, the TMR880i and the Atex radio THR9Ex. These robust devices are made for voice and data transmission in any situation. User organisations of the regional Tetra network, such as firefighters, mountain rescue personnel and forestry agents, will get more detailed information at the Avionic Service shop in Bolzano or at the Civil Protection fair.
Since 2016, Avionic Services GmbH in Bolzano has been an Airbus partner and has been offering Airbus Tetra devices as an authorised dealer. The company has more than twenty years of experience in the field of radio communications in South Tyrol.
Since 2014, Airbus has been making good progress in installing the new Tetra-based state radio network for the autonomous region of Bolzano together with the Austrian company Center Communications Systems. This uniform digital radio network for civil protection and security personnel will replace more than 40 individual analogue networks. In addition, Airbus provides a variety of base stations in the TB3 and TB3hp series. Later, it will be possible to integrate the Airbus application Tactilon Agnet into the Tetra system. Tactilon Agnet facilitates secure multimedia group communication in broadband and Tetra networks.
Airbus and Avionic will answer visitors’ questions at booth D24/014 during the Civil Protect fair in Bolzano, Messe Platz 1.
