With the aim of quality improvement and enhancement of the range of offered services, Technopol International, A.S. decided to build a new digital radio network based on the European standard TETRA.

The new digital technology DIMETRA - TETRA is characterized by:

•  Cell system of infrastructure ensuring smooth coverage with modularity of growth and coverage expansion
•  Digital quality of audio functions
•  Fast access to group and data communication (250ms at most)
•  The possibility of both group and individual communication (both radio and telephone communication)
•  Data functions offer:
•  Status reports
•  Short Data Services - similar to SMS with delivery verification
•  Packet Data Service
•  Use of IP protocol - enables easy connection with already installed applications of the user
•  Fully compatible interconnection with networks of other operators (both voice and data services)

The construction of the first phase of the digital network for Bratislava and Trnava was finished in February 2005 and was tested since March. In May 2005 , after the testing phase , digital radio network services were offered to first customers. In 2006 the next step was transforming our analogue customers to digital , and gaining new customers at the same time.

Our targeted customers are still mainly: industry (automobile in particular), public transport, construction, security companies, taxi companies, courier companies, and the growing segment of short-term and mid-term leases. Technopol International, a.s. expands the TETRA network to other regions of Slovakia , mainly Nitra , Galanta, Dunajská Streda and Žilina. We are ready to build TETRA coverage anywhere in Slovakia , according to requests of our customers, both in large cities and new industrial centers.

Our long-term goal is building a professional digital public radio network RADIOPOL , functioning in the whole of Slovakia , covering areas with customer potential and providing continuous communication along the main transport lines , as well as propagation of TETRA standard as the ideal tool for group mobile communication.
