With a personal video, well-known science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar congratulated the Siegen-based company Guntermann & Drunck on their success in the TOP 100 innovation competition. In addition, he honoured the achievements of this year's TOP 100 companies at a joint online conference.
The occasion was the TOP 100 final, which was originally planned as a face-to-face event. Ranga Yogeshwar is mentoring the innovation competition, which is being held for the 28th time. In the scientific selection process, Guntermann & Drunck made a particular impression in the size category B (51 to 200 employees) for "Innovation-promoting top management".
The TOP 100 company portrait published on the occasion of the award states (excerpt):The extension and switching of computer signals is a growing market in view of the digital transformation. Wordldwide, Guntermann & Drunck are regarded as experts in this field. The company is known for its KVM systems (KVM is short for "Keyboard", "Video" and "Mouse"). The systems are used in control rooms around the globe, for example in aviation and shipping, in film production studios or in control rooms in the chemical and petrochemical industries.
In order to be able to demonstrate the KVM systems to interested parties, despite Corona, the G&D team had to become creative in 2020. Therefore, they designed a demo room to be able to present their KVM systems remotely via live video. The new "ControlCenter-Xperience" went into operation in October 2020. "With this, our team has impressively shown that it tackles difficult situations offensively, reacts flexibly and thinks and acts innovatively. We will continue to expand this innovative strength in the future," sums up Roland Ollek, CEO at G&D.
