BDBOS Launches Compelling Campaign: "Digital Radio Saves Lives"
As the world's largest TETRA network, BDBOS plays a pivotal role in providing highly secure and reliable mission critical communications for security and rescue forces across Germany.
The Federal Network Operator in Germany, BDBOS, takes a bold step in enhancing public awareness with its latest poster campaign, titled "Digital Radio Saves Lives." The campaign, featuring real emergency services personnel from diverse security, rescue, and relief services, aims to underscore the crucial role of BOS digital radio in ensuring public safety.
As the world's largest TETRA network, BDBOS plays a pivotal role in providing highly secure and reliable mission-critical communication for security and rescue forces across Germany. Boasting over a million registered devices and 5,000 base stations covering an impressive 99.2% of the country, the BOS digital radio network stands as a technological cornerstone for emergency services.
Originally designed for voice and narrowband data communication, the BOS digital radio network faces growing operational and tactical demands in the ever-evolving landscape of mobile critical communication technology. Recognizing the imperative for its continual evolution into a BOS broadband network, BDBOS has initiated the "Digital Radio Saves Lives" awareness campaign.
The campaign's core objective is to elucidate the indispensable role of the BOS digital radio network in general security and underscore the pressing need for its transformation into a broadband network. The resonant message is clear: the secure and highly available communication provided by our emergency services directly impacts human lives.
Distinguished emergency services entities, including the Federal Police, Berlin Police, Technical Relief Agency, Johanniter Accident Aid, Malteser Relief Service, a volunteer fire department from Saarland, and the German Life Saving Society, have generously lent their support as testimonials for the campaign.
From March 11th to 31st, 2024, the campaign motifs will be displayed on both analogue and digital advertising spaces in Berlin's government district. Complementing the poster campaign are postcards featuring the same motifs and sharepics for social media publication, encouraging the use of the hashtag #DigitalfunkRettetLeben. All campaign materials, including motifs and formats, are available for download on the dedicated topic page.
On their website, BDBOS expresses its sincere gratitude to the BOS entities involved for their unwavering support, as well as to the emergency services personnel who contributed their invaluable efforts as photo models, making this impactful campaign a reality.
