JVCKENWOOD Corporation (JVCKENWOOD) has delivered the professional digital radio system to the Aviation Security Command (AVSECOM) of the Republic of Maldives as part of the Official Development Assistance (ODA) initiative.

As part of the ODA "Economic and Social Development Programme" led by the Japanese government, which aims to support the sustainable economic growth and further socio-economic development of the Republic of Maldives, JVCKENWOOD has delivered its professional digital radio system to the AVSECOM.

Security and anti-terrorism measures at airports are crucial not only for the protection of the country's tourism industry but also for regional peace and stability, and radio systems for business communication are indispensable for these operations.

JVCKENWOOD has delivered a professional digital radio system consisting of 27 sets of base station radios and 165 sets of portable radios. These will be deployed across 18 airports in the Republic of Maldives.

The country has been using analog radio systems up to the present, and the introduction of the JVCKENWOOD’s digital radio system will enable highly confidential communications.

JVCKENWOOD stated:

"JVCKENWOOD will continue to contribute to the enhancement of security and the safe lives of citizens across the globe by providing high-quality and reliable professional digital radio systems. Also, through active participation in various support activities, including ODA initiatives led by the Japanese government, JVCKENWOOD aims to enhance corporate value and contribute to the development of a sustainable society."
