Hytera Drives Secure and Efficient Communication at COP29 in Baku Azerbaijan

Approximately 1,200 Hytera advanced push-to-talk (PTT) devices were deployed at COP29, significantly enhancing the event's safety and operational efficiency.

Hytera, a leading global provider of professional communications technologies and solutions, proudly supported the local authorities hosting the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) in Baku, Azerbaijan. With the deployment of its PT590 TETRA Portable Radios and PNC460 X-Rugged Smart Devices, Hytera enabled efficient coordination during the event, held from November 11 to 22, which united global leaders, policymakers, and environmental experts to address critical climate change issues.

Approximately 1,200 Hytera advanced push-to-talk (PTT) devices were deployed at COP29, significantly enhancing the event's safety and operational efficiency. By providing robust, reliable, and secure communication, Hytera’s PT590 TETRA and PNC460 Smart Device ensured seamless coordination among event organizers, security personnel, medical teams, and support staff, contributing to the overall success and smooth execution of the conference.

During COP29, security teams relied on PT590 TETRA radios connected to a dedicated network for real-time group communications and rapid response. The devices’ exceptional audio quality and reliability empowered security personnel with the capability to swiftly address incidents and maintain order. Reception teams used PNC460 Smart Device to stay connected, enabling efficient registration, guidance, and service delivery, while PNC360S PoC radios were instrumental in venue coordination, ensuring seamless management of transport and accommodation. The solution also ensured secure, uninterrupted communication for VIP protection, safeguarding their movements and activities throughout the event.
