Sepura plc, a global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of digital radios based in Cambridge UK, has appointed an Autonomy Corporation finance specialist as the company’s new chief financial officer.

Steve Chamberlain was VP Finance at Autonomy which, until its acquisition by HP last October, was a FTSE 100 company with joint headquarters in Cambridge and San Francisco.

Over the past seven years at Autonomy, a leading multinational enterprise software company, Chamberlain played a pivotal role in a number of transformational acquisitions and operational improvements.

Gordon Watling, chief executive of Sepura, said: “I am extremely pleased to welcome Steve as the company's new chief financial officer. Steve is highly experienced, has an excellent understanding of the technology sector and I am looking forward to working with him.”

Watling said that Chamberlain was appointed following a thorough search and benchmarking exercise conducted with the assistance of external advisers.  He will join the company on March 26.
