Dublin firm Sigma Wireless Communications today, 11th April 2012, announced the completion of a 5-year framework and supply agreement for their ComAlerter Tetra Messaging System with British firm, Airwave. ComAlerter is an innovative two-way messaging device with GPS functionality.
The agreement will see Sigma’s technology deployed by emergency services throughout Great Britain using the Airwave Network which covers 99% of the country’s landmass and has been live on the London Underground since 2010. Airwave is a leading provider of critical voice and data communications to public service organisations in Great Britain.
Announcing the agreement, Tony Boyle, Chair of Sigma Wireless Group said: “This contract now places us in a position to really drive significant growth for our business.

Sigma Wireless will carry out the device assembly and system integration activities from its 5000 sqm headquarters in Finglas, Dublin. The ComAlerter System was jointly designed with Isle Systems, specialists in the area of Lone Worker Systems and Personal Safety.
