Motorola To Focus On Providing Tetra Solutions In Malaysia

Motorola Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd, which has invested RM4 billion over
the last 30 years in Malaysia, expects to continue to provide
mission-critical communications solutions for local industries
especially the transportation industry.
Its president, Rauf Nasir, said the company has tried to empower users
to manage and control operations confidently, efficiently and operate
with higher productivity by providing its Terrestrial Trunked Radio
(TETRA) solutions.
"TETRA solution enables railways and metro users to respond to mission
critical situations and make quick, informed decisions for faster
emergency response and safety," he told a media briefing here today.
In Malaysia the company is focussed on offering the TETRA industry
solutions to customers in the oil and gas and transportation industry
covering the railways/metros, seaports and airports.
"We have combined global knowledge as well as local insight and deep
understanding of customers to be able to deliver mission critical
communication solutions to our customers," Rauf Nasir said.
He said drawing on the experience, expertise and extensive portfolio in
Asia Pacific and the global market, Motorola Solutions have the
capabilities to design and deliver customised solutions that meet local
requirements.
"We have been awarded more than 70 TETRA railway projects worldwide out of which more than 60 are in the Asia Pacific region.
"We constantly invest in future technology and solutions to cater for
the present-day efficiencies and also for future-driven needs."
For the year 2011, Motorola Solutions, Inc. reported a fourth-quarter
sales of US$2.3 billion, up five per cent from the fourth quarter of
2010 and a full-year sales of US$8.2 billion, up eight per cent from
2010.
