Entropia builds state-of-the-art control centre in Moordrecht

Entropia Digital is expanding its Belgian enterprise in Bruges. Today, brand new premises have been bought in Moordrecht, near Gouda in the Netherlands. Amongst others, the building will accommodate the Entropia Digital Network Monitoring Centre (EDNMC) which monitors national networks day and night.
The network specialist Entropia Digital was recently reported in the news as having concluded an agreement with KPN and Motorola for the building of a national Tetra network.
Philip Vercruysse, the CEO at Entropia Digital, had this to say about the move to the new centre: “Entropia warrants a high availability and succeeds in this ambition to the total satisfaction of its clients. To enable a geographic improvement, Entropia Digital will shortly be moving from Rotterdam to its brand new premises in Moordrecht, near Gouda. The new premises are located along the A20 at a unique AAA high-profile location. The building lies centrally within the Randstad, only half an hour away from the cities of Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Utrecht and The Hague.”
Incident room
Entropia Digital's activities in Belgium are geared towards the development of the incident room software platform ComBus® and its Tetra networks. In order to monitor the networks, a ComBus® RENMC (Radio Engineering Network Monitoring Centre) was installed in Bruges. This Network Engineering Monitoring Centre contains fourteen screens which monitor all of Entropia's applications and Tetra networks 24/7.

What's remarkable is the fact that the EDNMC will also have the possibility to monitor non-Entropia (mission-critical) networks and applications. A number of professional candidates have already made contact to develop the Network monitoring together. In this way Entropia Digital's clients and/or suppliers can benefit from a substantial cost saving by making use of the EDNMC or the Entropia Digital Network Monitoring Centre. The new premises will contain special showrooms where radio and telemetry solutions have been installed. The ComBus® incident room system, ComBus® Ultimate and ComBus® Lite, provide an overview of all the TETRA incident room communications.
