Ministry inks MoU with ADP for Tetra

Abu Dhabi Police GHQ has provided other institutions, such as hospitals, airports and oil companies, with the Tetra network.

Ministry of Presidential Affairs has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Abu Dhabi Police GHQ to use the latter’s advanced Tetra wireless communications system to run and manage its fleet of vehicles during official ceremonies. Signed by Rashid Al Amri, Undersecretary of Government Coordination Sector, Ministry of Presidential of Affairs, and Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Reisi, Director General of ADP Central Operations, the MoU called for both signatories to set a joint cooperation mechanism for planning and implementing programmes to enable the ministry to benefit from the Terrestrial Trunked Radio (Tetra) service.

Al Amri emphasised the importance of the cooperation between the ministry and Abu Dhabi Police, as the two key national institutions strive to deliver world-class services and best applications to employees to improve work mechanisms and enhance modern communication methods.

Hailing the Abu Dhabi Police’s technical and technological resources, he said Tetra facilitates effective non-interrupted communications in times of emergencies and accidents that require timely decision-making and implementation.

The Ministry of Presidential Affairs, he asserted, is keen to boost cooperation with Abu Dhabi Police for the best interest of the local community.

He added that a link has been established with the Tetra network to help the operations room at the ministry’s Presidential Protocol Department manage its vehicle fleet during official receptions and ceremonies.

For his part, Al Reisi, expressed his delight at and proud of the joint partnership as a national duty which serves both the nation and citizens.

He said the Abu Dhabi Police’s strategy is based on the premise of delivering best technological services and solution to its personnel and customers on par with best international standards.

The Abu Dhabi Police, he affirmed, spare no efforts to team with strategic partners to serve local community in all fields.
