Zonith Releases New Alarm Application supporting TETRA technology

Source: MCCResources

The development of the Zonith Android App came as a result of customer demand, requesting a solution that can be used on existing handsets particularly for those staff front-of-house who may not be carrying radios.

Zonith are proud to announce the release of our new Application for Android smartphones. The app runs over the WiFi network and can be used to raise personal panic alarms with the push of a button. Furthermore, the app can receive alarms from other handsets, as well as from fire panels, Building Management Systems, SCADA systems, etc. It will operate on Android 4.0.0 firmware or higher, but compatibility should be checked with Zonith prior to installation.

The development of the Zonith Android App came as a result of customer demand, with many of our resellers requesting a solution that can be used on existing handsets, particularly for those staff front-of-house who may not be carrying radios. The GUI was created with ease-of-use in mind in high-pressure situations, such as the 'big red button' used to raise a panic alarm.

The Android App integrates with the Zonith Alarm Control System (ACS) and functions together with radio technologies like DMR, TETRA, DECT and GSM.
