TETRA Radio manufacturer Funkwerk SC changes name into Funktel
The Funkwerk group of companies has recently transfered the Funkwerk Security Communications GmbH business unit to Funktel GmbH in Salzgitter. The company will continue to develop and produce TETRA radios.
The transfer encompasses the operations of its subsidiaries Funkwerk Electronic Services GmbH in Salzgitter, as well as Funkwerk Engineering GmbH in Kiel and once the agreement periods have elapsed, will have retrospective effect backdated to 18.12.2015.
According to the company, the return of Bosch radio technology to Funktel GmbH will see this well-known brand maintain its presence throughout Europe as a manufacturer of communication and emergency signalling systems. The company will continue to develop and produce products and applications in the fields of personal security, localisation, evacuation and intrinsic safety (explosion proofing) based on the DECT, TETRA radio and GSM technology platforms, with marketing via direct and indirect distribution channels.
The consolidation of these companies into a single business unit will simplify in-house processes and enable Funktel to serve the market directly and efficiently.
All employees and branches of the aforementioned companies will transfer to Funktel GmbH, meaning that the contact persons with their existing address details and telephone numbers, will continue to be available.
