The contract, secured by the local Adelaide office of Simoco Australasia, includes system design, installation and a four-year maintenance agreement for the Simoco Xd Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) system.

Radio communications specialist Simoco has been selected as the supplier of the radio communication network at the redeveloped Adelaide Oval, a sports ground in Adelaide, South Australia. The Adelaide Oval is undergoing an AUD 535 million redevelopment, with completion scheduled for early 2014. Once finished, the 2100 square metre sporting ground will have a seated capacity of 50,000 spectators. As part of the redevelopment, an interoperable digital radio system will facilitate communication across the site. The contract, secured by the local Adelaide office of Simoco Australasia, includes system design, installation and a four-year maintenance agreement for the Simoco Xd Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) system which includes Simoco's digital base stations and handheld portable radios. In addition, Simoco will provide supplementary portable radios through its rental division.
