The company has agreed to supply its wireless communications technology to an Israeli defence technology company, to be used for a project with the US Department of Homeland Security.

The technology will allow the unnamed Israeli company to create secure private networks between LTE cellular devices and government digital radio networks, and will be used by public safety agencies.
According to Etherstack CEO David Deacon, the technology company is growing its defence and public safety communications businesses. A key piece of this strategy is a recently-released small form factor tactical wireless repeater.

"The deal demonstrates that the world's defence and security companies regularly turn to Etherstack to access our unique technologies for secure wireless communications equipment," Deacon said.
Etherstack's wireless technology has been used by the Swedish Armed Forces, the US Department of Defense, Raytheon, L-3, Lockheed Martin, Rockwell Collins and Thales, among others.
