Entropia Increases Equity by 25 Million Euros and Lays the Foundation for Further Growth
Entropia, a provider of specialized mission-critical communication solutions, has achieved a consolidated (operating cash flow) EBITDA break-even result in 2017.
The contracts signed in the course of 2017 will lead to a positive EBITDA of €1.8 million and a (recurring) total turnover of €8.9 million at the end of 2018. Furthermore, the Entropia Group will increase its own equity by €25 million in Q1 2018, and by doing so will lay a firm foundation for the growth and availability of its radio networks for its customers.
Control-room systems and networks
ComBus®, the showpiece of Entropia's control-room systems, controls and monitors mission-critical peripheral equipment, sensors and networks. ComBus® has now been applied in various municipalities, governmental organisations, security services, industries and European institutions.
Today, the Entropia network covers an area of more than 60,000 km2, with 420 masts. In the course of 2017, Entropia - in cooperation with ComBus® - has built its network for mission-critical sensor technology. For example, thanks to the network, it is now possible to visualize the national underground water limit level to over 100 m below the surface, using sensors in the Netherlands and Flanders.
In this way, 'droughts and floods’ in the catchment areas of water companies are predicted by the Entropia network. Consequently, Entropia is ready for the "Critical Network of Things".
Goodbye to the past
In order not to jeopardise the continuity of the new strongly growing Entropia and to focus on its ambitious growth, Entropia has structured its business processes independently of the effects of the legal dispute with KPN. This dispute, a consequence of the failed cooperation between KPN and the old Entropia, will be continued by the old Entropia Digital bv, now RERUM Technics BV, with the firm conviction that, ultimately, a righteous judgment will be given by the Dutch courts.
Partly as a result of its consolidated structure, Entropia fully guarantees its service to customers and relations, just as can be expected from a mission-critical mobile operator.
