Icom USA announced the IP501H LTE radio transceiver to its extensive communications portfolio. It is the first LTE radio that connects through the LTE-Connect network. This new pocket-sized radio offers instant push-to-talk communications with wide area coverage utilizing LTE (4G) and 3G networks. Individual Calls, Group Calls or All Calls can be made the same way as a conventional two-way radio. This license free radio can be deployed immediately and enable users within the same company to carry on multiple separate conversations simultaneously or communicate with all at the same time at the push of a button. The LTE-CONNECT system can be configured to interoperate with your legacy radio network.

Amongst others, this rugged device has the following desired radio features: High quality full duplex audio, vibration alert/voice recording of incoming calls, lone worker/Man-down emergency and built-in GPS
