Celona Integrates Cybersecurity from Palo Alto Networks into Private 4G/5G System
Celona, a cellular provider based in the US, has joined forces with Palo Alto Networks to incorporate the latter's cybersecurity and analysis software into its private management solutions for 4G and 5G networks. This collaboration allows businesses, particularly those in sensitive industries such as logistics, manufacturing, and transportation, to have better visibility and control over the identity profiles and access rights of cellular devices in their private networks.
Celona is specifically offering Palo Alto Networks' Cortex XSOAR software for device-level security intelligence and automation, along with its own Orchestrator platform for managing private cellular systems.
The integration also includes Palo Alto Networks' Network Security Platform and Enterprise IoT security offering, with essential client information being exchanged through open APIs between the two environments. This combination provides real-time mapping of device data, including IMEI/IMSI and IP addressing, which enables automated enforcement of zero-trust policies for device access, as well as incident profiling and behavioral analysis. According to Celona, this partnership offers benefits such as the ability to identify and profile IoT devices, automate risk assessment, and detect threats without disrupting network services between client and application software.
