Silvus Deploys Tactical Bubble to Support Critical Communications During Tampa’s Gasparilla Pirate Festival

Tampa’s Gasparilla Pirate festival draws 500,000 people to the channelside neighborhood for parades, music, food, drinking, and people watching…all with cell phones hitting the same tower….that is a problem for public safety agencies.

Silvus Technologies’ Public Safety team deployed out to assist Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and Tampa Police Department in deploying the Silvus Tactical Bubble to help keep the festival safe.

Video feeds from aviation assets and PTZ cameras were brought into the command bus compound so HCSO and TPD command staff could make better decisons faster. ATAK was perfect.

Silvus’ PRISM tower/mast system was deployed, as well as the Hoverfly Technologies Sentry tethered drone (tower in the sky) to quickly build out the bubble.
