NSW Public Safety Network Benefits from 3 New High-tech Mission Critical Communications Shelters
NSW communities will benefit from a more resilient Public Safety Network (PSN) that is the most important radio communications network in NSW, Australia, thanks to the three high-tech, ready-built mission-critical communications shelters and a soon-to-be-released suite of generators designed to quickly restore communications for first responders.
Shelters are essential installations for PSN sites, housing the critical transmitters and power for each tower, but after bushfire damage, these can take months to rebuild and restore coverage.
Three ready-to-go, fire resistant pre-built mission-critical communications shelters can now be deployed and installed as fast replacements to keep the PSN operating for our first responders during emergencies and disasters.
Built to the latest and most stringent standards, these shelters help keep the PSN operational during bushfires, disasters and recovery operations, allowing emergency responders to remain connected during critical periods of time when connectivity is essential to support communities during, and after, a crisis.
The 18 trailer generators to be delivered in late 2024 can be deployed by helicopter to provide backup power to PSN sites during emergencies, ensuring continuous operation when mains power is lost.
