Fast growth propels Sepura to awards success
Sepura sealed the International Trade Award after making significant progress in overseas markets and by opening up new territories for export.
Cambridge based Sepura has been named as Business Weekly’s International Trade Company of the Year.
Duncan McCunn of Barclays presented the award to Gordon Watling and Peter Connor of Sepura - a company which has fast developed to become a market leader.Sepura, the specialist in TETRA digital radios, is anticipating further international growth as it rolls out a new generation of products into more global territories.
Duncan McCunn said: “Sepura is a global leader in TETRA digital radio. It delivers mission-critical communications to customers in the public safety, military, transport, utilities and commercial sectors. Sepura now enjoys market leadership in over 35 countries.
“In the last financial year it opened new markets in Germany, Estonia, Ukraine and Namibia and, with the launch of new technology, is penetrating more territories and hoping to make strides in the new North American market.”

The company recently secured a new five year revolving credit
facility with Barclays and CEO, Gordon Watling said: “The fact that we
have secured such a competitive package in the current market is a
strong testament to our continuing progress and prospects for the
future.”
Sepura is a global leader in the design, manufacture and
supply of TETRA (TErrestrial Trunked RAdio) digital radios used
predominantly by emergency services around the world and in the
transport, utilities and commercial sectors.
Founded in the UK in 2002, Sepura has expanded rapidly across the world with a network of regional partners that sell and provide local support for its products. Sepura is now market leader in more than 30 countries.
The company, which joined the official list of London Stock Exchange in August 2007, employes around 300 people.
